CEO Vijayakumar highlighted the company's remarkable growth trajectory, stating that HCLTech outpaced its peers for the second consecutive year, primarily due to its AI-led initiatives and integrated go-to-market (GTM) strategy.

"HCLTech grew the fastest among our peers for the second consecutive year..... We saw very strong new bookings of $3 billion this quarter catalyzed by our AI prepositions." CEO announced.

The company's Engineering Research and Development (ER&D) vertical, which saw record growth of 75% in bookings in FY25, played a crucial role in the success. Vijayakumar further added that AI and generative AI had become integral to almost every deal, allowing the company to secure higher wallet share from existing customers.

Meanwhile, Ramachandran Sundararajan, Chief Human Resources Officer of HCLTech, outlined the company's people strategy. HCLTech upskilled 1.06 lakh employees in AI during FY25, more than double its initial goal of 50,000. "AI capabilities will remain central to our workforce development in FY26 too," CHRO briefed.

HCLTech's employee count reached 223,420 as of March 2025, with women making up 28.8% of the workforce. The company onboarded 7,829 freshers during the year and plans to continue aggressive hiring, though specific numbers were not disclosed. The attrition rate dropped to 13%, reflecting a stronger retention environment.

The company is also finalising its 2024 compensation cycle, with salary hikes averaging 7%. Top performers can expect increases between 12-15%, to be rolled out in October.

With its strong financial performance, strategic AI integrations, and an expanding workforce, HCLTech is poised for further growth in the coming year.
