New Delhi, Apr 1 - Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), the leading defence Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) based in Bengaluru, has announced a significant financial achievement for the fiscal year 2023-24. The company reported its highest-ever revenue from operations, surpassing Rs 29,810 crore. This marks a notable double-digit growth of approximately 11 per cent over the previous year, which saw a growth rate of 9 per cent and revenue figures standing at Rs 26,928 crore.

Despite facing substantial supply chain challenges triggered by geopolitical tensions, HAL has successfully met its revenue growth expectations. The company's performance throughout the year has been commendable, leading to this financial milestone. As of March 31, 2024, HAL's order book is robust, exceeding Rs 94,000 crore, with anticipation of additional significant orders in the pipeline.
Adding to its list of achievements, HAL celebrated a milestone in its aviation segment. On March 28, the first aircraft of the Tejas Mk1A series, designated LA5033, took to the skies from the HAL facility in Bengaluru. The sortie was successful, with a flight duration of 18 minutes. The aircraft was piloted by Chief Test Pilot Group Captain (retd) K K Venugopal, marking a significant moment for HAL's aviation advancements.
This financial and operational success underscores HAL's continued growth momentum and improved performance across its sectors. The company remains focused on maintaining this trajectory, contributing significantly to India's defence and aerospace sectors.
