Haryana grain storage plan and new silo between Shahabad and Ambala

Saini directed departments to prepare a detailed action plan to construct a silo between Shahabad and Ambala. Saini said the step should offer a permanent fix for grain storage issues. Saini asked officers to identify a site suited for a large warehouse. The location should sit between a railway line and a road.

Saini said this placement would ensure cost-effective connectivity of the silo with the rest of the country. Saini said up to 100 acres of land should be acquired between the railway line and road. Saini asked officers to finish planning for land acquisition and silo construction within one month. The focus was on faster execution and safe storage.

Haryana grain storage planning near Hisar Airport for fruits and vegetables

Saini said the ongoing situation in the Middle East has raised demand for fruits and vegetables there. Saini directed the Warehousing Corporation to draft a plan for a silo or large warehouse near Hisar Airport. The aim was safe storage for perishable farm produce. Saini said shipments could then move to the Middle East via Hisar Airport.

Saini said the Hisar facility could help farmers get better prices for produce. Saini linked this plan to quicker logistics and better handling of fruits and vegetables. The idea was to store produce safely and dispatch it when needed. The meeting noted the need for infrastructure that supports both storage and transport.

Haryana water supply plan for Palwal and Nuh using canal-based water

Officials of the Public Health Department said drinking water is being supplied through tubewells in 108 villages of Palwal and Nuh. The supply also covers Punhana town. To help maintain groundwater levels, the department plans seven rainy wells and boosting stations. The estimated cost is Rs 765 crore.

Saini said a plan should be prepared to shift tubewell-dependent areas to canal-based water supply. Saini said water demand will rise with new industrial zones in Nuh and Palwal. Saini asked officers to factor this growth into future planning. The goal was steadier supply and less pressure on groundwater.

Keeping in view the upcoming monsoon season, Saini directed large-scale plantation drives across the state. Under the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign, Saini said plantation should begin immediately to raise green cover. Saini also asked for tree guards to protect saplings. Saini said timely watering was needed for proper growth.

The official statement said Saini set deadlines and sought practical plans across sectors. The agenda covered grain storage, fruit and vegetable warehousing, and water security in Palwal and Nuh. Saini also linked plantation work with the monsoon window. Officials were asked to translate directions into action plans and field-level execution.
