HCL Tech vs TCS: Who Is Giving Higher Dividends After Q1 Results? Check Record Date & Payment Date
Two tech giants have declared interim dividends for FY27. These are HCL Technologies and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). In Q1FY27, where TCS posted 5% year-on-year growth in net profit to Rs 13,349 crore, HCL Tech outperformed with a whopping 20% YoY surge to Rs 4,626 crore. But both companies have surpassed estimates in these quarterly earnings. That being said, who is offering higher dividends after Q1 results?

HCL Technologies Interim Dividend:
HCL has declared its second interim dividend of Rs 12 per share, having a face value of Rs 2 each, for financial year 2026-27.
Prior to this, HCL Tech paid the first interim dividend of Rs 24 per share (2400%) for FY27, whose record date was April 5, 2026 and payment date was May 5, 2026.
But overall, HCL has a solid history of delivering hefty dividends to its investors. In the fiscal FY26, the company delivered as much as Rs 60 dividend per share.410
HCL Technologies Dividend & Record Date
For the upcoming Rs 12 dividend payout, HCL will identify eligible shareholders and for that it has fixed July 17, 2026, as the record date. The payment is expected on July 27, 2026.
TCS Interim Dividend
Unlike HCL, TCS is paying investors their first interim dividend for FY27 to the tune of Rs 12 per share.
Every year, TCS is among the top dividend-paying stocks on BSE and NSE. In the previous financial year, the company rewarded investors with an Rs 110 dividend per share, however, was lower than the Rs 126 dividend rewards in FY25.
TCS Interim Dividend Record Date & Payment Date
For its own Rs 12 dividend per share, TCS fixed July 15th as the record date to identify eligible members. While the payment date is fixed on July 31, 2026.
HCL Technologies Vs TCS Q1 Results
TCS reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 13,349 crore in Q1FY27, registering a growth of 5% YoY compared to Rs 12,760 crore profit in the same quarter a year ago. However, Q1 PAT declined by 3% from net profit of Rs 13,718 crore in Q4FY26. Consolidated revenue from the operations stood at Rs 72,275 crore in Q1FY27, which is higher by 14% from revenue of Rs 63,437 crore in Q1FY26 and up by 2.2% from Rs 70,698 crore in Q4FY26.
Meanwhile, the Shiv Nadar-backed IT giant, HCL Technologies, posted 20.4% growth in consolidated net profit to Rs 4,626 crore in the Q1 quarter for FY27, compared to PAT of Rs 3,844 crore in the same quarter last year. Also, consolidated revenue surged by 1.8% QoQ and 13.9% YoY to RS 34,579 crore in Q1FY27. Overall, HCL reported upbeat earnings across verticals like bottom-line, top-line and margins.
