HDFC Bank Alert: Services to Be Unavailable for 4 Hours on March 14: Check Timings and Services Affected

Maintenance schedule and duration

According to the bank's official Email to customers, the maintenance activity will take place between 02:30 AM and 06:30 AM IST on March 14. During this four-hour window, users may not be able to access certain services through the bank's NetBanking portal and mobile banking application.

Customers attempting transactions during this time may face service interruptions until the maintenance process is completed.

Services that will be temporarily unavailable

During the scheduled upgrade, multiple HDFC Bank digital banking services will be affected. According the notice these include:

  • Access to bank accounts
  • Deposit-related services
  • Fund transfers through UPI, NEFT, IMPS, RTGS and within-bank transfers
  • Online bill payments and merchant transactions
  • Other account-related activities on the bank's digital platforms

The bank also clarified that UPI transactions linked to HDFC Bank accounts will not work across platforms during the maintenance window. This includes payments made through third-party apps that use HDFC Bank UPI handles such as @okhdfcbank.

PayZapp wallet will function

While several core digital banking features will be paused, customers will still be able to make payments using the bank's PayZapp wallet.

Customers advised to plan transactions in advance

In its email to users, The bank stated that the maintenance exercise is necessary to enhance the efficiency and performance of its digital banking systems. Such periodic upgrades are conducted to ensure smoother and more reliable banking services for customers.
HDFC Bank customers are advised to complete important transactions before the maintenance window begins. Payments, transfers, or account-related activities attempted during the early morning hours of March 14 may not go through until the services are restored.
