HDFC Bank Scheduled Maintenance on June 8, 2025: UPI and Digital Banking Services Temporarily Unavailable

HDFC Bank has announced a scheduled maintenance on June 8, 2025, aimed at enhancing customer experience and upgrading its banking infrastructure. During this period, several digital banking services, including UPI transactions, will be temporarily unavailable. The bank informed customers about this via email, advising them to use the PayZapp wallet during the downtime.

HDFC Bank Maintenance Schedule Window: Check Date and Time

The maintenance window is set for four hours, from 2:30 AM to 6:30 AM on June 8, 2025. During this time, UPI services linked to HDFC Bank accounts will be inaccessible. This means customers will not be able to send or receive money via UPI during these hours.

HDFC Bank Closing Day

Several key services will be affected during the scheduled maintenance period. Access to net banking and the mobile banking app will be unavailable. Customers will not be able to view or manage account details and deposits. Fund transfer services such as IMPS, NEFT, and RTGS will also be impacted.

Merchant payments linked to HDFC Bank accounts and the instant account opening process will not function during this time. However, the bank recommends using its PayZapp wallet for transactions during the maintenance window.

What is PayZapp? HDFC Bank's Online Payment App

PayZapp is HDFC Bank's online payment app that acts as both a digital wallet and a virtual card. It allows users to pay for online and offline services like bills, sending money, and shopping without using their bank account or cards directly.

The transaction limits on PayZapp vary based on account type. Non-KYC accounts have a monthly limit of Rs 10,000, while KYC-compliant customers can transact up to Rs 200,000 per month.

The announcement of UPI maintenance may cause issues for HDFC Bank customers since UPI is integral to daily transactions in India. Common problems include failed transactions with errors like "Transaction failed due to technical error" or "Bank server not responding."

Refunds might take longer if money is deducted but the transaction fails. This could lead to stress or inconvenience for users. Additionally, users may face difficulties in receiving funds or checking their account balance through UPI.

Axis Bank Scheduled Downtime: Check Date and Time

Axis Bank has also announced a maintenance window affecting credit card transactions on June 6, 2025. Customers were informed via text message that they would be unable to transact with Axis Bank Credit Cards from 02:00 AM to 02:45 AM on that day.
