Heavy Rains And Cyclone Predicted In These States This Week, Check Forecasts

A cyclonic circulation lies over northwest Madhya Pradesh & neighbourhood in lower & middle tropospheric, India's meteorological department has predicted, with trough runs from cyclonic circulation over northwest Madhya Pradesh & neighbourhood to south Chhattisgarh in lower tropospheric levels.

The Monsoon tough will pass Jaisalmer, Kota, Guna, Sagar, Pendra Road, Jamshedpur, Digha and thence east-southeastwards to Northeast Bay of Bengal. A fresh cyclonic circulation is likely to form over northwest & adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal around 12th September, 2023.

Weather Forecast and Warnings:

East India: Light to moderate fairly widespread to widespread rainfall to thunderstorm & lightning with isolated heavy rainfall activity is very likely over Andaman & Nicobar Islands during 11th -13th and over Odisha during 12th-15th, Jharkhand on 13th & 15th and over Gangetic West Bengal on 14th & 15th September. Isolated very heavy rainfall is expected over Odisha on 14th & 15th September.

South India: A widespread rainfall with isolated heavy rainfall is also very likely over Kerala & Mahe on 11th, over Coastal Andhra Pradesh during 11th - 14th, Rayalaseema on 11th and over Telangana on 14th September.

Central India: Light to moderate rainfall, thunderstorm & lightning is predicted over East Madhya Pradesh on 11th & 15th, West Madhya Pradesh on 15th, Chhattisgarh during 13th - 15th and over Vidarbha on 14th & 15th September.

West India: Light to moderate rainfall to thunderstorm & lightning with isolated heavy rainfall very likely over at isolated places over Madhya Maharashtra & Marathwada on 15th September.

Northeast India: Moderate rainfall to thunderstorm with isolated heavy rainfall activity is very likely over Assam & Meghalaya during 11th-12th, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura during 11th-15th September.

Northwest India: Heavy rainfall in East Uttar Pradesh on 11th September and in Uttarakhand on 11th, 13th & 14th September is expected, according to IMD. In response to the substantial rainfall and the alert issued by the IMD, the District Magistrate of Lucknow has declared the suspension of all educational institutions today, including schools up to class 12.
