Hera Pheri director Priyadarshan backed Akshay Kumar's legal action against Paresh Rawal, emphasising that Kumar had invested his "hard-earned" money into the film. "I don't have anything to lose but Akshay has invested money and that could be the reason why he is taking this action. Paresh Rawal hasn't spoken to me till date. I don't know why this happened because Paresh didn't inform us," he said in an interview with a media house.

Paresh Rawal has confirmed that he is leaving the film but has denied that creative differences or script issues were the cause. He expressed his respect for director Priyadarshan and clarified that there were no concerns related to payment. However, his unexpected exit has raised doubts about the future of the beloved Hera Pheri franchise, which has already seen several delays and changes in the cast.

Actor turned politician Rawal posted on X (Twitter), "I wish to put it on record that my decision to step away from Hera Pheri 3 was not due to creative differences. I REITERATE THAT THERE ARE NO CREATIVE DISAGREEMENT WITH THE FILM MAKER . I hold immense love, respect, and faith in Mr. Priyadarshan the film director."
