To motivate young people and entrepreneurs to invest in solar energy projects within the state, comprehensive support is being extended. "Solar energy projects play a pivotal role in transforming Himachal Pradesh into a green energy state," he stated. These initiatives are expected to enhance economic growth and create job opportunities for the youth.

Private Sector Solar Projects

The government has earmarked 300 MW for ground-mounted solar power projects in the private sector, with 62 MW already operational. In the public sector, 32 MW of solar power projects have been completed, and an additional 15 MW are nearing completion. These efforts aim to bolster the state's green energy credentials.

The Chief Minister also evaluated various activities of the HPSEBL. He instructed officials to implement innovative strategies to boost revenue and resources. Additionally, he requested detailed reports on energy procurement and expenditure across different ventures and projects.

This initiative is part of a broader effort to position Himachal Pradesh as a leader in renewable energy. By focusing on solar power, the state aims to reduce its carbon footprint while fostering economic development through sustainable practices.
