Hindalco Q1 Result: Profit Zooms 75% YoY To Rs 7,013 Crore, Revenue Rises 32%; Metal Stock Up 2.6%
Hindalco Q1 Result: Hindalco Industries Limited, on Friday, reported a 75% year-on-year jump in consolidated net profit for the fourth quarter of financial year 2026-27. The Aditya Birla Group subsidiary reported Rs 7,013 crore of profit, and the net revenue stood at Rs 84,825 crore, which is 32% higher than Q1FY26.
Hindalco share price today was trading 2.67% higher at Rs 1054 per share on BSE with a market capitalisation of Rs 2,36,857.68 crore. The stock had touched an intraday high mark of Rs 1,055.65 per share and an intraday low mark of Rs 1,019.00 per share.

The diversified metal giant reported a 75% jump in net profit to Rs 7,013 crore in Q1FY27 against Rs 4,004 crore reported in the year-ago period. The company's net profit stood at Rs 2,597 crore in the March quarter.

Hindalco's net revenue from operations stood at Rs 84,825 crore during the quarter under review, which is 32% higher than Rs 64,232 crore reported in the year-ago period. Hindalco's net revenue from operations stood at Rs 78,133 crore in the March quarter. Its earnings per share (EPS) stood at Rs 31.58 during Q1FY27, against Rs 18.03 during the corresponding quarter.
Segment Revenue Growth
Hindalco's subsidiary, Novelis's net revenue stood at Rs 54,763 crore during Q1FY27, Rs 40,362 crore during the corresponding quarter. Hindalco's aluminium upstream segment revenue increased to Rs 13,403 crore against Rs 9,331 crore. Likewise, aluminium downstream increased to Rs 4,889 crore against Rs 3,353 crore. The copper segment revenue surged to Rs 17,232 crore.
Novelis Q1 Result
Novelis reported a 23% year-on-year jump in its consolidated net revenue from operations in the first quarter of financial year 2026-27. The jump in net revenue was driven by favourable aluminium prices, which were partially offset by a 33 kt estimated shipment loss related to the Oswego production disruption from the fire.Novelis EBITDA per tonne fell by 6% on a sequential basis to $512, while net debt rose 17% on a sequential basis to $7.9 billion, which remains the key near-term overhang.
Hindalco Share Price Trend
The stock touched its 52-week high mark of Rs 1,179.35 per share on May 29, 2026. The stock dipped to its 52-week low mark of Rs 656.85 per share on August 12, 2025. The metal stock has a return on equity (RoE) of 14.8%. Its share price value has surged close to 11.8% in two weeks and around 53% in a year.
