Hindalco Share Price Today: Aditya Birla Stock Gives Up Early Gains Post Q1 | Brokerages Remain Bullish | Buy?
Hindalco Share Price Today: Shares of Hindalco Industries Limited pared gains after seeing strong opening during Monday's trading session. The Aditya Birla Group firm had reported 75% jump in net profit in the June quarter of financial year 2026-27.
Hindalco share price today was trading 0.24% lower at Rs 1051.45 per share on BSE with a market capitalisation of Rs 2,36,262.16 crore. The stock had touched an intraday high mark of Rs 1,065.10 per share and an intraday low mark of Rs 1,046 per share.
Hindalco Q1 Result Review
Hindalco posted strong earnings in the June quarter, where growth was primarily driven by favourable pricing, better domestic product mix, and higher by-product pricing, along with the outperformance of Novelis earnings.

"We believe the earnings outlook for the India operations to remain strong and Novelis to start recovering from the Oswego-led volume disruption, which resulted in additional costs to service customers," noted Motilal Oswal in its report.
Apart from the outperformance of Novelis, a strong 36% surge in upstream EBITDA to Rs 73.9 billion also contributed to Hindalco's strong Q1 performance. The surge in EBITDA was supported by 11.6% sequential rise in Aluminium prices and higher premiums.
Hindalco Share Price Trend
Motilal Oswal maintained a 'Buy' rating for the stock with a target price of Rs 1,220 per share. "At CMP, the stock trades at 6.7x EV/EBITDA and 1.6x P/B on FY28E. We reiterate our BUY rating on HNDL with a SoTP-based TP of INR1,220."
Emkay Global Financial Services maintained an 'Add' rating with a target price of Rs 1,150 per share. "We remain constructive on medium-term outlook and raise FY27E EBITDA by ~11% on inclusion of insurance recoveries, while FY28/29 estimates are broadly unchanged; retain ADD and TP of Rs1,150."
Hindalco Q1 Result Recap
The diversified metal giant reported a 75% jump in net profit to Rs 7,013 crore in Q1FY27 against Rs 4,004 crore reported in the year-ago period. The company's net profit stood at Rs 2,597 crore in the March quarter.
Hindalco's net revenue from operations stood at Rs 84,825 crore during the quarter under review, which is 32% higher than Rs 64,232 crore reported in the year-ago period. Hindalco's net revenue from operations stood at Rs 78,133 crore in the March quarter. Its earnings per share (EPS) stood at Rs 31.58 during Q1FY27, against Rs 18.03 during the corresponding quarter.
Hindalco's subsidiary, Novelis's net revenue stood at Rs 54,763 crore during Q1FY27, Rs 40,362 crore during the corresponding quarter. Hindalco's aluminium upstream segment revenue increased to Rs 13,403 crore against Rs 9,331 crore. Likewise, aluminium downstream increased to Rs 4,889 crore against Rs 3,353 crore. The copper segment revenue surged to Rs 17,232 crore.
