Andaz Apna Apna Re-Release Box Office Collection: Five days have passed since Aamir Khan-Salman Khan's classic comedy Andaz Apna Apna was re-released in Indian theatres. The movie is officially a hit now, with profits of 115% on its overall budget of Rs 3 crore. However, in 5 days, Andaz Apna Apna bagged a collection of over Rs 1.5 crore on a gross basis, which failed to beat Sanam Teri Kasam's stellar collection of Rs 41 crore, by over 96%.

The movie was re-released on April 25th. Since then, its overall nett collection has come to around Rs 1.30 crore, but on a gross basis, its collection is about more than Rs 1.53 crore. When the movie was initially released in 1994, it had recorded revenue of Rs 5.15 crore, against its budget of Rs 3 crore. Summing up both initial and re-release revenue, Andaz Apna Apna bagged about Rs 6.45 crore in its lifetime so far, which is a profit of a whopping 115%, making it a hit officially.
Notably, Andaz Apna Apna is at par now with yet another Salman Khan sensational performance in Karan Arjun, where he was paired with Bollywood's king Shahrukh Khan. The re-release of Karan Arjun had earned about Rs 1.30 crore as well.
But Andaz Apna Apna failed to outrun Harshvardhan Rane-Mawra Hocane's romantic cult film Sanam Teri Kasam, which emerged as the highest grosser in the re-release category. Sanam Teri Kasam was re-released on February 7, 2025.
Andaz Apna Apna focuses on on two gold diggers, played by Aamir and Salman, who attempt to woo a heiress so that they can access her father's wealth. The duo wants to be rich using shortcuts. They soon realize that the heiress has exchanged her identity with that of her secretary. By that point, one of them is genuinely in love with the heiress, and the other gold digger has fallen for the secretary, as per Wikipedia.
Sanam Teri Kasam:
Sanam Teri Kasam became a blockbuster re-release with worldwide gross collection of Rs 41 crore. This movie is not only the highest grosser but also the first to hit Rs 40 crore milestone as well. Sanam Teri Kasam was a flop in 2016, but bagged massive love on OTT platforms.
Sanam Teri Kasam tells the story of a tough ex-convict, Inder and a traditional librarian Saru. Inder and Saru fall in love and get married but a tragedy changes their lives forever. The cinematography was done by Chirantan Das, the music was given by Himesh Reshammiya, and the lyrics were written by Reshammiya, Sameer Anjaan, Shabbir Ahmed and Subrat Sinha. Sanam Teri Kasam was released worldwide on 5 February 2016 under Eros International. It received mixed reviews from critics and was a commercial failure in its first release. It was re-released on 7 February 2025, and emerged as a commercial success, as per Wikipedia.
