HP appoints Ipsita Dasgupta as SVP and MD for India
Ipsita Dasgupta has joined HP from Apple where she served as senior director of marketing for Apple Services.
New Delhi: PC maker HP has appointed Ipsita Dasgupta as the Senior Vice President and Managing Director of its India market, the company announced on Friday. Dasgupta will be responsible for leading all aspects of HP's strategy and P&L profit and loss in India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.
Dasgupta's experience

Dasgupta joins HP from Apple, where she served as Senior Director of Marketing for Apple Services. In this role, she was based at Apple headquarters and led global synergy marketing, external partnership marketing, consumer insights, and market and competitive intelligence for Apple's subscription services.
Dasgupta has 24 years of international operating experience across various industries. She holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics and economics from Columbia University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
Her responsibilities at HP
In her new role at HP, Dasgupta will be responsible for driving the company's growth in India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. She will report to HP Chief Commercial Officer David McQuarrie.
