HP to Collaborate with Dixon's Padget for PC Production in India under PLI Scheme

PC manufacturer HP India is poised to enter into an agreement with Padget Electronics, a subsidiary of Dixon Technologies, to produce notebooks, desktops, and all-in-one PCs under the PLI 2.0 scheme in India. This collaboration will take place at a new Padget Electronics facility in Chennai, according to a joint statement released on Monday.

Ipsita Dasgupta, HP's managing director for the India market, expressed pride in participating in the government's Make in India initiative. "Through this partnership, we look forward to offering our customers in India an enhanced portfolio of domestically manufactured products that combine HP's cutting-edge technology with Dixon's manufacturing expertise," Dasgupta said.

The memorandum of understanding (MOU) between Padget Electronics Private Limited and HP India Sales Private Limited will facilitate the manufacturing of these devices under PLI 2.0, pending the signing of definitive agreements.
