Huge Drop in Gold Rate Today; 24K/100gm Falls By Nearly Rs 21,000 in Just 2 Days, Silver Steady in Delhi

Gold rates in New Delhi fell for the second consecutive day on March 13, 2026, continuing the recent decline in the bullion market. The rate of 24 Karat gold today stands at Rs 16,139 per gram, down by Rs 98, while 22 Karat gold is priced at Rs 14,793 per gram, lower by Rs 92 compared to the previous day.

Gold, Silver Rates Today

Over the past two days, gold prices have dropped sharply, amounting to a total fall of around Rs 20,700 per 100 grams of 24 Karat gold.

Meanwhile, silver prices remained steady today after a sharp correction earlier. Following a fall of Rs 10,000 per kg in the previous session, the silver rate today is holding at Rs 2,80,000 per kg on Friday.

Precious metal prices continue to remain volatile amid global tensions, as US President Donald Trump and Iran's new supreme leader Mojtaba Khamenei maintained tough positions on the 13th day of the ongoing conflict, keeping market sentiment cautious.

24 Karat Gold Rate Today in Delhi

In Delhi on Friday, the price of 24 Karat gold is Rs 16,139 per gram, down by Rs 98 from yesterday's rate of Rs 16,237. 8 grams are priced at Rs 1,29,112 and 10 grams at Rs 1,61,390, showing falls of Rs 784 and Rs 980 respectively. The rate for 100 grams of 24 Karat gold has come down to Rs 16,13,900, which is Rs 9,800 lower than the previous day.

22 Karat Gold Rate Today in Delhi

Similarly, 22 Karat gold prices have also decreased in Delhi. On 13 March 2026, the rate is Rs 14,793 per gram, down by Rs 92 compared to yesterday's Rs 14,885. The price of 8 grams stands at Rs 1,18,344, while 10 grams of 22K costs Rs 1,47,930, reflecting declines of Rs 736 and Rs 920 respectively. 100 grams of 22 Karat gold is now priced at Rs 14,79,300, down by Rs 9,200 from the earlier session.

18 Karat Gold Rate Today in Delhi

Gold of 18 Karat purity has also seen a drop in Delhi today. The rate is Rs 12,108 per gram, lower by Rs 74 from yesterday's Rs 12,182. In terms of common jewellery quantities, 8 grams is priced at Rs 96,864 and 10 grams at Rs 1,21,080, showing decreases of Rs 592 and Rs 740 respectively. Meanwhile, the price of 100 grams of 18 Karat gold has reduced to Rs 12,10,800, down by Rs 7,400 compared to the previous day.

Silver Price Today: Check Latest Silver Rates Per Kg on March 13, 2026

Silver prices in Delhi remained unchanged today, showing stability in the bullion market. The price of silver is Rs 280 per gram, the same as yesterday, indicating no change in the daily rate on 13 March 2026.

8 grams of silver are priced at Rs 2,240, while 10 grams cost Rs 2,800, both unchanged compared to the previous session. 100 grams of silver are available at Rs 28,000, showing no day-to-day fluctuation. Meanwhile, the price of 1 kilogram of silver stands at Rs 2,80,000 on Friday.

"Rising market uncertainty, reflected in an uptick in the CBOE Volatility Index, has encouraged investors to maintain higher cash positions rather than aggressively accumulate bullion. At the same time, a global equity sell-off triggered by surging oil prices and persistent Middle East tensions has added volatility across asset classes but failed to provide sustained support to gold," said Kaveri More, Commodity Analyst at Choice Broking.
