HUL Share Price Jumps Over 3% After Q1FY27 Results Sell-Off; Brokerage Bullish, Should You Buy/Sell?

Shares of Hindustan Unilever are now recovering this morning from the sell off seen yesterday after reporting weaker-than-expected Q1FY27 earnings.

HUL shares this morning opened at Rs. 2050.50 apiece on the NSE and quickly climbed more than 3% to the intraday high

At the time of writing, the stock was trading at Rs. 2,088.80 up by 3.27%. The counter has given a negative return of 10% so far in 2026.

HUL Q1FY27 Results Recap

The FMCG major on Tuesday, July 28, reported its April to June quarter financial outcome where the company reported a 4% decline in standalone net profit at Rs 2,631 crore for the June quarter.

The company reported a 10% YOY increase in consolidated revenue (excluding the impact of the ice cream business demerger) to Rs 17,180 crore. This is the company's first double-digit revenue growth in the last 12 quarters.

Home Care was the best-performing segment, with revenue rising 13%. However, its profit margin fell due to higher raw material costs. Similarly, Beauty & Wellbeing posted 12% revenue growth and 13% growth in operating profit (EBIT).

The Personal Care segment recorded 3% revenue growth and 9% growth in operating profit.

Foods & Refreshment reported 7% revenue growth and 14% growth in operating profit.

Brokerage Bullish On Hindustan Unilever

Motilal Oswal Financial Services in its report dated July 29 issued a buy call on the stock.
"We reiterate our BUY rating on the stock with a Target price of Rs. 2,500 and maintain our EPS estimates for FY27 and FY28.HUVR remains focused on topline growth, backed by volume acceleration alongside new launches across categories and channels. HUVR continues to remain focused on driving volume-led revenue growth, even if it comes at the expense of near-term margins"

"Further, the company announced Rs. 20 billion of capex toward premium and high-growth categories and remains optimistic about delivering better performance in FY27 vs FY26.
