Hurry Up! Complete These Financial Tasks Before January 31 To Avoid Any Inconvenience Later

As we are nearing the end of this month, there are many money-related things that will change in February 2024. Besides, January 31 is the deadline for several financial tasks. So, in order to avoid any inconvenience, it is recommended to complete these financial tasks before 31st January to avoid any inconvenience later.

New IMPS Rule:

You can transfer up to Rs 5 lakh between bank accounts without adding a beneficiary from February 1. The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has streamlined Immediate Payment Service (IMPS) to make bank account transactions faster and more accurate. According to the NPCI, you can simply send money by entering the recipient/beneficiary's cellphone number and bank account name.

SBI Home loan campaign offer

State Bank of India (SBI) customers can avail concession on home loans up to 65 basis points lower compared to the actual card rate. The deadline for processing fees and concessions on home loans is January 31, 2024. The discount is applicable for all home loans, including those with flexipay, NRI, non-salaried, privilege, and Apon Ghar.

Punjab and Sindh special FD deadline

The last date of the special fixed deposit (FD) of public sector bank Punjab and Sind Bank (PSB) dubbed 'DHAN LAKSMI 444 days' is January 31, 2024. All Resident Indians who are eligible to open a domestic term deposit account Including NRO/NRE Deposit Account holders can apply for opening this special FD scheme called PSB Dhan Laksmi.

FASTag eKYC

National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has urged FASTag customers to finish the "Know Your Customer" (KYC) procedure associated with their most recent FASTag by updating their KYC. The last date to update FASTag KYC is January 31. Banks will deactivate or blacklist FASTags with a legitimate balance but inadequate KYC after January 31, 2024.

In a press release dated January 15, 2024, the NHAI said, "The NHAI launched the "One Vehicle, One FASTag" campaign with the goal of discouraging user behavior that links several FASTags to a single car or uses a single FASTag for many vehicles. This program intends to improve the efficiency of the Electronic Toll Collection system and allow smooth flow at the Toll Plazas."
