Silver prices also showed limited movement in the domestic bullion market. Meanwhile, MCX gold futures closed lower on Friday, after a fall in prices.

Gold Rate Today In Chennai, June 21
In Chennai, the 24K gold price stands at Rs. 14,837 per gram today. For those looking to purchase 8 grams, the rate comes to Rs 1,18,696, while 10 grams of 24K gold is priced at Rs .1,48,370. For 100 grams, buyers will need to pay Rs. 14,83,700.
22K gold in Chennai is priced at Rs.13,600 per gram today. The rate for 8 grams of 22K gold stands at Rs.1,08,800, while 10 grams will cost Rs. 1,36,000. For 100 grams, the price is Rs.13,60,000.
18K gold in Chennai is available at Rs .11,370 per gram. The 8-gram rate is Rs. 90,960, the 10-gram rate is Rs. 1,13,700, and 100 grams is priced at Rs.11,37,000.

MCX Gold And Silver
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold futures closed at Rs. 1,47,239 per 10 grams on Friday, down Rs. 2,070 or 1.39% from the previous close. MCX silver futures ended at Rs. 2,32,736 per kg, shedding Rs. 4,836 or 2.04%
As per ICICI Commodity report, "MCX Gold Aug is expected to slip further towards Rs. 147,500-Rs. 146,500 level as long as it stays below Rs. 151,500 level. MCX Silver July is expected to dip towards Rs. 234,000-Rs. 230,500 level as long as it stays below Rs. 244,000 level."
Spot Gold & Spot Silver Price
On the international front, gold was trading at $64.84 per ounce, down $1.36 or 2.07 percent. Silver in the international market was quoted at $4,155.68 per ounce, down $70.63 or 1.67 percent.
