ICICI Bank on Saturday, 18th October, reported a resilient performance for the quarter ended September 30, 2025 (Q2FY26), supported by healthy credit growth, strong asset quality, and robust profitability.

At Rs 12,359 crore, the bank's net profit increased 5.2% YoY. The main drivers of the spike in net profit were a steep decline in provisions, which dropped to Rs 914 crore from Rs 1,233 crore a year before, a spike in fee-based income, and higher net interest income, which climbed 7.4% YoY to Rs 21,529 crore.
As of September 30, 2025, net domestic advances climbed 3.3% sequentially and 10.6% annually. As of September 30, 2025, the retail loan portfolio accounted for 52.1% of the overall loan portfolio, growing 2.6% sequentially and 6.6% yearly. In Q2FY26, total advances reached Rs 14,08,456 crore, up 3.2% sequentially and 10.3% YoY.
The average deposits of ICICI Bank grew by 9.1% YoY and 1.6% sequentially to reach Rs 15,57,449 crore in Q2 of 2026. In Q2 2026, average current account deposits rose 1.6% sequentially and 12.6% YoY. In Q2 2026, average savings account deposits rose 3.2% sequentially and 8.5% YoY. In Q2FY26, total period-end deposits reached Rs 16,12,825 crore, a 7.7% YoY rise.
ICICI Bank maintained strong asset quality during Q2FY26, reflecting a continued improvement across key parameters. As of September 30, 2025, the net non-performing asset (NPA) ratio improved to 0.39% from 0.41% in the previous quarter and 0.42% in the same period last year, while the gross NPA ratio fell to 1.58% from 1.67% in June 2025 and 1.97% a year earlier. With robust recoveries and upgrades of Rs 3,648 crore, gross non-performing asset (NPA) additions reached Rs 5,034 crore from Rs 6,245 crore in Q1FY26. The bank maintained a 75% provision coverage ratio while writing off NPAs totalling Rs 2,263 crore.
Further demonstrating its strong balance sheet resilience and rigorous risk management, ICICI Bank also retained total provisions of Rs 22,620 crore, or 1.6% of loans, including Rs 13,100 crore in contingency provisions.
The bank has a network of 7,246 branches and 10,610 ATMs and cash recycling machines as of September 30, 2025, after adding 263 branches during H1-2026, bringing its total number to 7,246.
