ICSE, ISC 2024 Results: CISCE Records 98-99.5% Pass Rate; Girls Outshine Boys; How To Check?

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has announced the results for the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) for Class 10 and the Indian School Certificate (ISC) for Class 12 on May 6, 2024. This year's results showcase achievement by students across the nation, with high pass rates and strong performances in both examinations.

Students eager to view their scores can now access them conveniently through CISCE's official website at cisce.org or results.cisce.org. Candidates need to enter their unique ID, index number, and captcha code provided on the login page to access their results. Additionally, the results are available on Digilocker, ensuring a secure digital platform for students to obtain their official records.

ICSE  ISC 2024 Results

The statistics reveal an encouraging trend, with a healthy number of candidates clearing the examinations. Notably, out of the 99,901 students who appeared for the ISC exams, a 98.19% successfully cleared the hurdle. Among them, OBC students stood out with a pass percentage of 98.25%. Furthermore, the performance of students from Special Category backgrounds is also strong, with Scheduled Caste candidates achieving a pass percentage of 97.71% and Scheduled Tribe candidates achieving 96.97%.

For the ICSE exams, out of 243,617 candidates, 99.47% emerged victorious. The gender-wise analysis also showcases a impressive performance, with girls outshining boys with a pass percentage of 99.65% compared to 99.31% in ICSE, and 98.92% compared to 97.53% in ISC.

Candidates who wish to access their results can follow a simple five-step process outlined on the CISCE website. It's advisable for students to download and print a copy of their results for future reference.

The 2024 ICSE exams commenced on February 21 and concluded on March 28, while the ISC exams wrapped up on April 4, with two papers rescheduled. Importantly, CISCE has announced the discontinuation of compartment examinations from 2024 onwards. However, students aiming to improve their marks or grades in the same year of examination may opt for the improvement examination in a maximum of two subjects. The improvement exams are slated to be conducted in July 2024, with further details to be released soon on the official website.

One of the most noteworthy highlights of this year's results is the exceptional performance of over 2,200 schools, which achieved a 100% pass percentage in the ICSE exam. Out of 2,695 participating schools, 82.48% attained this feat. Additionally, the examination witnessed healthy participation, with 2,503 examination centres and 709 evaluation centres facilitating the process nationwide.

The regional breakdown reveals interesting insights into performance trends. The Southern region emerged as a frontrunner in both ICSE and ISC exams, with the highest percentage of girls appearing in the examinations. In ISC, the Western region boasted the highest percentage of girls at 50.55%. Moreover, the Southern region recorded the highest pass percentage of 99.53% in ISC, while the Western region excelled in ICSE with a pass percentage of 99.91%.

Internationally, schools in Indonesia, Singapore, and Dubai (UAE) secured a 100% pass percentage in the ICSE exam. Similarly, in ISC, schools in Singapore and Dubai (UAE) also demonstrated outstanding performance.

The Northern region accounted for the maximum entries in both ISC and ICSE exams. This region comprises states such as Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, New Delhi & NCR, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.

Furthermore, girls continued to outshine boys in both ICSE and ISC exams. In ICSE, girls achieved an overall pass percentage of 99.65%, surpassing boys' score of 99.31%. Similarly, in ISC, girls secured a pass percentage of 98.92%, outperforming boys who scored 97.53%.
