Idhayam Murali Box Office Collection: The Tamil romantic-comedy film, Idhayam Murali, has hit Indian cinemas on July 10th. However, the opening day for Tamil star Atharvaa's film has been broadly sluggish and failed to even cross Rs 5 crore mark. Broadly fans have appreciated the movie, calling it breezy, nostalgic and classy.

As per Sacnilk, on Day 1, Idhayam Murali collected a net of Rs1.90 crore across 1,283 shows. This brings total India gross collections to Rs2.19 crore and total India net collections to Rs1.90 crore so far.

One of the critic, while assigning 3.75 star out of 5, said on X that Idhayam Murali is overall a pleasant colourful rom-com filled with feel-good and enjoyable moments throughout.

While Let's X OTT Global, said, "After a Long Gap a Feel Good, Wholesome Entertainer from Tamil Cinema," adding, "Second Half is the Key !! Many Sequence are relatable & Giving a nostalgic Vibe , especially In first Half railway station sequence... We can feel that tension." This portal assigned 4 star out of 5.

Idhayam Murali 2026:

The plot of the film is that Idhayam "Idhaya" Murali returns to India from New York City for his marriage. In the plane, he met a stranger and recounts his past from his college days with his friends to his failed love stories. The rest of the premise is how he will overcome his shyness and reveals his love to the one, as per Wikipedia. The film stars Atharvaa in titular role, Kayadu Lohar and Preity Mukhundhan alongside Natty Subramaniam, Ramki, Thaman S, Niharika NM, Rakshan, Dravid Selvam, Sudhakar and Pragya Nagra. Fahadh Faasil makes a cameo appearance. It is the directorial debut of Aakash and also marks Thaman's return to acting after 22 years.

The movie is directed, co-written and produced by Aakash Baskaran under Dawn Pictures.
