IMD Weather: Bengaluru Rain Today Continues, Monsoon Advances In Karnataka, AP, Odisha ; Orange Alert Issued
IMD Weather Update: Bengaluru is likely to receive more rainfall on Sunday, June 14, as the monsoon continues to advance across Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha, and several other parts of India. Meanwhile, conditions remain challenging in Maharashtra, where many districts continue to grapple with an intense heatwave.
Bengaluru Weather Today
Bengaluru weather today is likely to remain humid with the possibility of thunderstorms and mild showers. The Karnataka capital is likely to see a partly cloudy sky with the possibility of the development of thunder and lightning. Bengaluru's maximum and minimum temperatures today are likely to be 37 degrees Celsius and 24 degrees Celsius on Sunday. Humidity is likely to hover between 75% and 45%.

Monsoon To Advance In Odisha, rest of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana
As per the latest India Meteorological Department (IMD) bulletin, the monsoon is continuing to advance across the peninsula. The northern limit of the monsoon passes through Harnai, Solapur, Hyderabad, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Kalingapatnam, Paradeep, Baripada, Purulia, Dhanbad, Muzaffarpur, etc.
Conditions are favourable for monsoon to further advance into the remaining parts of Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and some parts of Odisha and some parts of South Chhattisgarh in the next two to three days.
Orange Alert in Rajasthan, Odisha; Yellow Alert in Bengaluru
The weather forecasting agency has issued an orange alert for Rajasthan and Odisha for heavy rainfall. Many parts of this state are likely to witness heavy rainfall on Sunday. Bengaluru, Thane and Kolkata are under yellow alert for Sunday, as per IMD report.
Heavy Rainfall In Indian States
The IMD has predicted a wet spell over eastern India on Sunday. It said, "Isolated heavy rainfall likely over Andaman & Nicobar Islands during 14th-15th June; Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim during 14th June and during 17th-18th June; Odisha during 14th June with isolated very heavy rainfall also likely over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim during 15th-16th June."
Several northeastern states were also likely to receive isolated heavy rainfall. Arunachal Pradesh could see rain over the next two days. Assam and Meghalaya may get showers till 16 June. Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura were expected to see rain till Monday.
Delhi Weather Today
The Delhi forecast stated, "Partly cloudy sky. Possibility of thundery development towards afternoon/evening." Maximum and minimum temperatures were likely to stay below normal by 1.6°C to 3.0°C. The maximum may range between 37°C and 39°C, while the minimum may remain between 23°C and 25°C.
