The government on Wednesday announced that the India AI Impact Summit 2026 has been extended by one day, with the event now set to conclude on February 21 instead of February 20. The summit, which began on February 16, 2026, has drawn an overwhelming response from visitors, startups, exhibitors and global technology leaders, prompting organisers to expand the schedule.
India AI Impact Summit 2026 Extended Till February 21
Originally scheduled from February 16 to February 20, the AI Impact Summit 2026 will now run until February 21. Officials confirmed that the extension was made in response to unprecedented footfall and participation across sessions, exhibitions and panel discussions.

The decision reflects the growing national and international interest in artificial intelligence, innovation policy and emerging technologies showcased at the summit.
Expo Timings Extended to 8 PM; Public Access Details
To ensure smoother crowd management and provide visitors with more time to explore exhibits, the expo hours have been extended from 6 PM to 8 PM.
However, organisers clarified that February 19 (Thursday) will remain closed to the general public due to restricted and closed-door sessions scheduled on that day. The exhibition area will be open to visitors on February 20 and February 21.
AI Impact Summit 2026 Registration Temporarily Closed
Due to overwhelming demand, on-site registration has been temporarily suspended. A notice on the official website states that the summit has exceeded its venue capacity and is currently oversubscribed.
The surge in registrations highlights the massive interest in AI technologies, startups, policy discussions and innovation initiatives being showcased at the event.
How to Attend India AI Summit 2026 Without Entry Pass
For those who were unable to secure physical entry access, the organisers have provided a virtual participation option. Interested participants can join select sessions online through the official livestream link shared on the summit website.
This digital access ensures that AI enthusiasts, students, researchers and professionals can still be part of the discussions despite venue limitations.
Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw revealed that more than three lakh people have registered for the summit so far. He described the turnout as a "very strong response," reflecting India's growing enthusiasm for artificial intelligence.
According to the minister, nearly 2.5 lakh visitors - a majority of them under the age of 30 - have already explored the exhibition area. The high participation of young attendees underscores the increasing interest among India's youth in AI research, innovation and emerging technologies.
