India and Oman have entered a comprehensive economic partnership agreement that aims to deepen their economic ties. The deal comes as Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi visits Muscat, where Oman's Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs Sayyid Shihab bin Tariq Al Said welcomes Modi on 17 December 2025.
Oman News Agency reported on 18 December 2025 that the two countries signed the agreement, which focuses on trade and investment. The agency said, "The agreement is designed to enhance trade and investment cooperation, facilitate the seamless flow of goods and services, establish a strategic framework for expanding bilateral collaboration", reflecting the planned scope of cooperation.
