India Post Launches Guaranteed Next-Day Speed Post & Parcel Delivery in 24 Hours in Six Cities; Check Prices

India Post has introduced a guaranteed next-day delivery service across six major metro cities. The new 24-hour Speed Post initiative offers faster and time-bound delivery across major cities. It comes with features like real-time tracking and OTP-based secure handover to ensure safety and transparency.

The service also provides a refund guarantee in case of delays, marking a major shift towards more efficient and customer-focused postal operations in India.

Speed Post and Parcel Delivery in 24 Hours in Major Metro Cities

The newly introduced "24 Speed Post" and "24 Speed Post Parcel" services promise guaranteed next-day delivery (D+1) between six metro cities including New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Hyderabad. The service will be gradually expanded to Tier-1 and Tier-2 cities in future phases.

This means customers can now send documents and parcels with the assurance that they will reach the destination within 24 hours. If the delivery is delayed beyond the committed timeline, India Post will refund the full shipping cost, offering a strong reliability guarantee.

Additionally, the "48 Speed Post" service ensures delivery within two days (D+2), providing a dependable alternative for slightly less urgent shipments.

Prices As Per Grams For 24-Hour Speed Post Service

For documents up to 50 grams, the 24-hour Speed Post service starts at Rs 38 for local deliveries.

For documents weighing between 251 and 500 grams, the price goes up to Rs 186 for long-distance deliveries (over 2,000 km).

For parcels up to 500 grams, the 24-hour Speed Post Parcel service starts at Rs 200.

For parcels weighing between 4.5 kg and 5 kg, the price can go up to Rs 990, depending on the distance.
