Indian Markets Trade Flat, Asia Mixed

Indian stock markets opened the day nearly flat, as cues from across the world was quite, after the relentless rally seen across the last one week.

The Sensex was trading with marginal gains of 15 points, while the Nifty gained 5 points in early trade.

Titan shares gained after the jewellery and watch maker posted posted a growth of 21 per cent in standalone net profit to Rs 356.79 crore. The shares were up 1.3 per cent in early trade.

Shares in engineering and construction behemoth Larsen & Toubro were trading flat after the company said COVID-19 impact on its revenue was assessed at Rs 1,800 crore during the quarter ended March 31.

Shares in PVR continued to slide lower for the second straight day, after the company reported a net loss for the quarter ending March 2020, largely as an impact from the Covid 19 lockdown. The shares were down nearly 3 per cent in trade.

Chalet Hotels saw its share price rising, after the company posted a three times increase in its net profits for the quarter ending March 30, 2020. Shares in Shemaroo were locked at the upper end of the circuit filter for the second straight day.

HeroMoto Corp was marginally higher ahead of results to be declared later today.
