As per a top official, henceforth Indian Railways will offer more of tatkal tickets after the behemoth has traced out and removed illicit softwares from the system and also arrested some 60 agents who otherwise used to block such tickets.

Officials further detailed that softwares including the likes of MAC, Jaguar and MAC are bypassing the original IRCTC site's login captch, booking captcha as well as bank OTP and were generating tickets, which in the regular booking of train tickets needs to be done. So, with this through these illicit sites, users were able to book tickets in just 1.48 minutes while in the normal case it takes 2:55 minutes.

So, after the squad both the software and agents have been cracked down, tatkal tickets shall now be available for more hours than just one or two minutes in the earlier case.
Notable tatkal ticket booking through agents is not allowed. "As of today, I can say that not one ticket is being booked through illegal softwares. We have plugged all the issues that we had with the IRCTC website and also nabbed most of those who were top operators of the software," the RPF DG said at a press briefing.
