Indian Stock Market Outlook Next Week, 26-30 Oct: Sensex, Nifty Likely To Fall Further Amid Crude Oil Surge
The Indian stock market is likely to remain under pressure in the coming week, from October 26 to 30, as elevated crude oil prices, persistent foreign institutional investor (FII) selling and weakening technical indicators weigh on investor sentiment. The Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex ended the latest week with losses, reversing their brief recovery and raising concerns about further downside in the near term.
Indian Stock Market Outlook Next Week, 26-30 October 2026: Sensex, Nifty Weekly Prediction
The Nifty 50 declined 2.36% during the week, while the Sensex fell around 2.15%. The sell-off extended across broader market segments, with mid-cap, small-cap and micro-cap stocks facing considerable selling pressure. Investors are likely to remain cautious as geopolitical developments in the Middle East, global bond yields, domestic liquidity conditions and institutional fund flows shape market direction.

The upcoming week could be crucial for benchmark indices as the Nifty approaches key support levels and the Bank Nifty continues to show signs of weakness. Market participants will closely monitor whether the indices can stabilise near immediate support zones or extend their decline if selling pressure persists.
The Nifty 50 lost 2.36% over the past week, snapping its previous two-week winning streak and moving closer to its 200-week exponential moving average (EMA). The technical structure remains weak, with selling pressure visible across most sectors, although the IT segment has shown relative resilience.
Nifty Weekly Prediction From October 26 to 30, 2026: Check Technical Outlook
For the week beginning October 26, the immediate support for the Nifty 50 is placed around 22,300. A decisive break below this level could open the door to further declines towards 22,000, which remains an important psychological support level. Traders will watch these levels closely to assess whether the index can find buying interest or witness another round of selling.
On the upside, the 22,850-22,900 zone is expected to act as a crucial resistance area, coinciding with the 21-day EMA. A sustained recovery above this range would be necessary to improve the near-term technical outlook. Until then, upward movements could attract fresh selling.
"On the upside, the 22850-22900 zone remains a crucial resistance area, coinciding with the 21 days EMA. As long as the index trades below this hurdle, the strategy remains sell on rise, with recovery attempts facing sustained selling pressure," said Dr. Ravi Singh, Chief Research Officer from Master Capital Services Ltd.
The Nifty's direction next week will depend on whether it holds the 22,300 support level and whether domestic and foreign investors return to buying. A sustained move below support could intensify bearish sentiment, while a recovery towards resistance may face pressure unless supported by stronger market participation.
Bank Nifty Weekly Outlook
The Bank Nifty declined 2.79% during the week, ending its previous two-week winning streak and slipping to a four-week low. The index is trading below its 21-day and 55-day EMAs, while its recent rebound failed to reclaim these moving averages. This indicates persistent selling pressure and weakening momentum in the banking sector.
For the week of October 26-30, the immediate support for Bank Nifty is placed near 53,800. A decisive breakdown below this level could lead to further selling towards 53,000. On the upside, the 54,800 level is likely to act as immediate resistance and could provide an opportunity for fresh selling during a technical bounce.
"On the upside, immediate resistance is seen near 54800, which could provide a favourable zone for fresh selling during a technical bounce. As long as the index remains below 56300, the overall structure stays weak, favouring a sell on rise approach amid persistent bearish momentum," said Dr. Ravi Singh, Chief Research Officer from Master Capital Services Ltd.
Key Triggers for the Stock Market Next Week

Global AI Trade: Uncertainty over AI valuations, rising capital expenditure and monetisation prospects may affect global risk appetite.
Broader Market Weakness: Continued profit-booking in mid-cap, small-cap and micro-cap stocks could extend selling pressure.
