Indian Stock Market Outlook Next Week, 7-11 Sept 2026: Sensex, Nifty May Trade Volatile Amid Global Cues
Indian stock markets are likely to remain sensitive to global developments in the week ahead after benchmark indices extended their losing streak for a fourth consecutive week. Rising crude oil prices, elevated US bond yields, continued foreign investor selling and concerns over the Federal Reserve's interest-rate outlook are expected to influence market sentiment between September 7 and September 11, 2026.
Indian Stock Market Outlook Next Week, 7 to 11 September 2026: Sensex, Nifty Weekly Prediction
The Nifty 50 declined 1.15% during the previous week to close at 23,897, while the Sensex fell nearly 1% to settle at 76,515. The market will now look for signs of stability after sustained selling pressure pushed the benchmarks lower.
The Sensex ended the previous week at 76,515 after losing nearly 1%. The index is expected to take cues from global developments, particularly crude oil prices, US Treasury yields and foreign fund flows.

Key Triggers To Impact Stock Market Next Week
Brent crude continued to trade close to $95 per barrel amid supply concerns and geopolitical tensions. Rising crude prices remain a key concern for India, as higher energy costs can increase inflationary pressures and affect the country's current account.
Foreign institutional investors remained net sellers for the third consecutive week, selling Indian equities worth Rs 5,612 crore. Domestic institutional investors, however, provided support by purchasing shares worth Rs 23,156 crore.
US Bond Yields and Fed Outlook to Remain Key
Elevated US Treasury yields could continue to weigh on emerging markets, including India. The 10-year US Treasury yield recently moved above 4.81%, reaching levels last seen in 2023 before easing marginally.
Meanwhile, stronger-than-expected US jobs data has raised concerns that the Federal Reserve could maintain a hawkish approach to interest rates. US non-farm payrolls reportedly increased by 162,000, significantly above expectations of around 53,000, while the unemployment rate remained unchanged at 4.1%.
The stronger labour-market data has revived expectations of higher interest rates, which could keep pressure on global risk appetite and FII flows into Indian equities.
Rupee Gains Support From FCNR(B) Inflows
The RBI's special FCNR(B) swap window closed on August 31, ahead of schedule, after attracting more than $52 billion in NRI dollar inflows. The strong inflows could provide support to the Indian rupee.
The rupee strengthened by nearly 1% during the previous week to close at 94.48 against the US dollar. Currency movement will remain another important factor for investors to track in the coming sessions.
Nifty Weekly Prediction for September 7-11, 2026
"Nifty 50 extended its decline for the fourth consecutive week, falling 1.15% and closing below both the 21-day and 55-day EMAs, reinforcing the prevailing bearish structure. The index continues to form lower highs and lower lows on the daily chart, with selling pressure emerging on every rebound, favouring a sell-on-rise strategy near resistance," said Dr. Ravi Singh, Chief Research Officer from Master Capital Services Ltd.
The immediate resistance for the Nifty is placed at 24,050, while 24,250 remains a crucial hurdle. A sustained move below these levels could keep the broader market trend negative.
On the downside, 23,800 is the immediate support level. A decisive break below this mark could push the Nifty towards 23,600, according to the technical outlook. India VIX stood at 10.68, indicating relatively subdued market volatility.
Bank Nifty Weekly Prediction
Bank Nifty declined for the second consecutive week, falling 0.22%. However, the index continues to show relative strength compared with the broader market and remains in a consolidation phase. The index is holding above its 21-week and 55-week EMAs, indicating underlying resilience despite limited upward momentum.
"Resistance is placed at 57,800, and a decisive breakout above this level could trigger an upmove towards 58,250. On the downside, 57,000 remains the immediate support, while a sustained break below this level could drag the index towards 56,600. Overall, Bank Nifty is likely to remain range-bound in the coming week, with a buy-on-dips approach preferred near key support levels," said Dr. Ravi Singh, Chief Research Officer from Master Capital Services Ltd.
