Indian Stock Market Outlook Next Week, November 2-6, 2026: Will Sensex, Nifty Extend Gains Ahead of Diwali?

Indian equity markets enter the first week of November on a positive note after staging a sharp recovery from the previous week's decline. The Nifty 50 gained 2% during the week, while the BSE Sensex advanced 1.83%. Ahead of Diwali, market participants will track technical levels, institutional flows, corporate earnings, global cues and sectoral performance for further direction.

Indian Stock Market Outlook Next Week, 2-6 November 2026: Sensex, Nifty Weekly Prediction

The market recovery was supported by significant short covering, relatively lower foreign institutional investor selling, falling US 10-year Treasury yields and better-than-expected September-quarter earnings. Positive management commentary, particularly from Trent, also boosted confidence, while value buying across banking, financial services, IT, realty and FMCG stocks supported the broader recovery.

Stock Market Outlook Next Week

Foreign institutional investors turned net buyers during the week, purchasing equities worth Rs 7,767.16 crore, while domestic institutional investors recorded net inflows of Rs 3,109.79 crore. Continued institutional buying, earnings-related developments and movements in global bond yields will remain important factors for the market in the coming week.

Nifty Prediction Next Week for November 2-6: Check Technical Outlook

The Nifty gained 2% during the week, finding support near its 200-week exponential moving average (EMA). The index has rebounded from this crucial moving average repeatedly over the past five weeks, suggesting potential base formation and improving buying interest. The immediate support zone lies at 22,850-22,800, aligned with the 21-day EMA, where dips could attract buying interest.

"However, a decisive breakdown below this zone may revive selling pressure and drag the index towards 22500. On the upside, 23300 remains an immediate hurdle. A sustained breakout above this resistance could strengthen bullish momentum and trigger further buying towards 23600," said Ravi Singh, Chief Research Officer from Master Capital Services Ltd.

The Nifty's movement around the 22,800-22,850 support zone and the 23,300 resistance level will therefore be important in determining whether the recent recovery can extend into the Diwali week. A sustained move above resistance could improve the near-term outlook, while a break below support may increase selling pressure.

Bank Nifty Weekly Prediction

The banking index also recovered during the week, with Bank Nifty gaining 0.74% after the previous week's decline. However, it continues to trade below its 21-day EMA, suggesting that the broader trend remains cautious despite signs of improving momentum. The daily Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) indicator has turned positive, providing an early signal of a possible recovery.

"Bank Nifty gained 0.74% this week, recovering from the previous week's decline. However, the index continues to trade below its 21-day EMA, indicating that the broader trend remains cautious. On the daily chart, MACD has turned positive, providing the first indication of improving momentum and a potential recovery. On the downside, 54,000 remains the immediate support level, where any dip could offer a buying opportunity," added Ravi Singh from Master Capital Services Ltd.

However, a decisive breach below 53,500 may weaken the structure and trigger further selling pressure. On the upside, 55,000 remains the immediate resistance. A sustained breakout above this level could trigger fresh bullish momentum, opening the door for a move towards 55,700.

What Investors Should Watch Ahead of Diwali

The direction of foreign and domestic institutional flows will remain a key indicator of market strength. Continued net buying by FIIs and DIIs could support the recovery, while renewed foreign selling may limit gains. Investors will also track the next set of corporate earnings and management commentary for signs of demand, margins and business growth across sectors.

Global market cues, particularly US Treasury yields and expectations around interest rates, will be another important trigger. Lower yields could support investor appetite for equities, while a renewed rise in borrowing costs or deterioration in global sentiment could weigh on risk assets. The performance of banking, financial services, IT, pharma, realty and FMCG stocks will also help determine whether the rally broadens further.
