Indices End Flat; Nifty Tops 13760 Levels; Dr. Reddy's Top Gainer

Indices after hitting fresh high in early session were largely trading in a thin range. At the close, Sensex was up 0.15% or 70 points at 46960, while Nifty gained 0.14% or 19 points to settle at 13760. Among sectoral gainers have been Nifty IT and Nifty Pharma. Broader markets underperformed in today's session.

Top gainers on the Nifty include Dr. Reddy's, Bajaj Auto, Infosys and Wipro, while losers have been IndusInd Bank, HDFC Bank, ONGC, Maruti Suzuki and IOC.

IT pack was upbeat in trade today on robust forecast by Accenture. The consulting and outsourcing major as per Reuteres report has estimated the revenue growth for the FY 2021 in the range of 4-6 percent in comparison to the earlier estimate of 2-5%. The forecast by Accenture provides a strong clue for Indian IT companies.

KNR Constructions gained to hit a fresh 52-week high after its board approved bonus share in the ratio of 1:1.

Nifty Pharma gained in trade led by stocks as Dr' Reddy's, Sun Pharma, Biocon, Cipla and Aurobindo Pharma.

Meanwhile, at the time of writing this copy, European indices traded higher with FTSE up 0.61 percent.
