Indices Open Higher After Robust Rally In US Markets

After robust gains on the NASDAQ in the overnight session, Indian indices in line with their Asian peers opened higher. At the open, Sensex gained 376 points, while Nifty clocked levels of 15211. Broader indices too performed well with Nifty Midcap 100 up 1.07% .

Sectoral Nifty gainers have been from the IT, realty and PSU Bank pack. While individually, IndusInd Bank, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, Tata Motors and HCL Tech have been the top gainers.

Shares of Godrej Properties will be in focus after the company on Tuesday launched QIP to raise up to Rs. 3750 crore via share sale.

Meanwhile, at the time of writing this copy, Japan's Nikkei was up 0.04 percent, Hong Kong's Hang Seng was up 0.7%.

Oil prices retreated below $70 per barrel as concerns over supply disruption in Saudi Arabia easedwith the likelihood of limited supply from OPEC+ output limits.
