IndiGo Flights Cancelled Today on India–Kuwait Route After Drone Attack; Check When Services Will Resume
IndiGo has temporarily suspended its flight operations between India and Kuwait after authorities in Kuwait closed their airspace following a drone strike incident at Kuwait International Airport. The disruption has led to widespread cancellations and uncertainty for passengers travelling on this international route.
IndiGo Flights Cancelled Today for Kuwait; When Will It Resume?
The airline confirmed that all IndiGo flights to and from Kuwait will remain suspended until 12 PM on 4 June 2026, subject to further updates from aviation regulators and security authorities.

Drone Strike at Kuwait Airport Triggers Emergency Airspace Shutdown
The decision comes after Kuwaiti authorities restricted air traffic over the country following reports of a drone attack that reportedly hit Terminal 1 of Kuwait International Airport, injuring several individuals and forcing emergency security protocols into action.
As a result, aviation operations in the region were immediately paused, with multiple flights diverted or delayed while security agencies assessed the situation and evaluated risks to civilian aviation.
IndiGo Issues Travel Advisory for Passengers
IndiGo issued an official advisory on social media platform X, confirming the suspension and assuring passengers that safety remains the airline's top priority.
The airline stated that the suspension is a precautionary measure taken in coordination with aviation authorities. It further noted that operations will resume only after receiving clear confirmation that air routes are safe for commercial travel.
In its communication, IndiGo also acknowledged the inconvenience caused to passengers and advised travellers to check their flight status before heading to the airport. Customers affected by the disruption have been given options to reschedule their travel, opt for alternate flights, or request refunds through the airline's official channels.
IndiGo Passenger Support and Operational Monitoring
IndiGo has said it is closely monitoring the evolving situation in coordination with relevant aviation regulators. The airline added that it is prepared to resume normal operations as soon as safe flying conditions are restored over Kuwaiti airspace.
Until then, passengers are being encouraged to stay updated through official airline notifications and manage bookings digitally to avoid last-minute disruption at airports.
The suspension follows a broader disruption in Kuwait's aviation network after the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) activated emergency protocols. Authorities reportedly diverted flights to alternate airports while security teams inspected the affected terminal and reviewed overall safety conditions.
Officials have not yet announced a timeline for full restoration of air traffic, stating that operations will resume only after comprehensive security clearance.
IndiGo Flights Operations to Resume After Clearance
IndiGo has reiterated that its services will restart only once aviation authorities confirm that conditions are safe for commercial operations. Until then, the airline continues to maintain a precautionary stance to ensure passenger and crew safety amid ongoing security assessments.
