IndiGo announced that for domestic tickets booked between April 17 and April 30, there would be no fees for changing the time or date. Customers who want to book tickets can do so on the official website, www.goIndiGo.in. When booking, detailed terms and conditions will be available on the website. Only IndiGo domestic flights are eligible for the offer. To be clear, the Offer does not apply to international travel on IndiGo flights.
As COVID-19 has resurfaced and local lockdowns have begun to impede air passenger traffic, other airlines are anticipated to announce similar relief steps. Meanwhile, between January 12 and April 12, the budget carrier transported a total of 81,437 kg of COVID-19 vaccines, according to a statement released on Friday.
For any changes to the travel date made by the customer for bookings made during the Offer Period, the "change fee" will be forgiven, with no limits on the revised travel date. The Offer does not apply if the customer cancels the reservation or changes the sector, in which case the "cancellation fee" would be charged at the existing rates.
The Offer is valid for one-way, connecting, and round-trip domestic travel bookings on all IndiGo operated aircraft on select fare options (i.e. Regular Fares, Flexi Plus Fares, and Family Fares). The Offer, however, does not apply to group bookings on IndiGo flights.
The downward trend in air travel has prompted airlines to seek government approval to reduce capacity from the currently required 80%to around 50-60%, which was the case during the early stages of the sector's reopening last year.
All matters relating to this Offer will be regulated by and construed in accordance with Indian law, and all matters relating to this Offer will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in New Delhi.
