IndusInd Bank Launches App For Opening Current Account

Private sector lender IndusInd Bank today launched a mobile app for opening current account. And using the app customers can open account in just few hours.

The facility will come as a great relief amid such times when social distancing and avoiding unnecessary travel should be the norm. So, all proprietorship, partnership, public limited and private companies can open the account using the app.

The mobile app Indus Corporate will enable the bank's executives to verify customers and other business related data in real time.

Also by making use of several APIs the app is available for secured validation of documents from across different government portals including GST, NSDL, MCA, IEC and Aadhaar."With this, customers can enjoy a swift and seamless account opening experience that eliminates the need for undertaking physical authentication of documents, which can be time consuming," said Soumitra Sen, country head for consumer banking at IndusInd Bank.

And the account shall become operational within 24 hours of opening the bank account. "This new proposition is a testament to our commitment towards catering to the financial requirements of self-employed individuals and businesses, thereby contributing to the government's vision of providing 'ease of doing business'," Sen added.

Also, this service shows the banks intentions of expanding the scope of video KYC for acquiring new customers in different segments.
