Invest Telangana Global Summit 2026 to feature defence, pharma, education and startup expos

Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Thursday asked officials to plan large-scale arrangements for the Invest Telangana Global Summit -2026, due next month. The event is meant to present the state’s investment opportunities. It also aims to bring global investors to set up firms in Telangana. Officials were told to complete a full arrangements plan by November 15.

The summit is scheduled from December 7 to 9. It will take place at the Young India Skills University campus. The campus is in Bharat Future City, now being developed on the city outskirts. During a review meeting, officials updated the CM on ongoing preparations. The CM checked venue planning, hall readiness, delegate invitations, and event management.

Reddy asked officials to invite chief ministers from other states too. The CM also sought special invitations for firms planning investment agreements. The programme was planned around investments, industries, modern technology, innovations, and employment. The official note said the organisers were working on international delegate outreach. Planning also covered arrangements across different halls at the venue.

Officials said the summit will host 52 sector-specific sessions. These sessions will run across four main halls. Several expos and themed pavilions will also be part of the three-day programme. A climate conclave has also been included in the schedule. The main highlights include a defence expo, pharma and life sciences expo, and education expo.

Invest Telangana Global Summit -2026 Defence Expo and India Joy 2026

The Defence Expo will display advanced equipment linked to defence and aerospace. It will also cover space, cyber security, drones, and robotics. Organisers are also working to add an Air Show. Out of 575 organisations invited for the Defence Expo, 49 have confirmed participation. The summit will also host India Joy 2026 with special arrangements.

India Joy 2026 is set to focus on animation, visual effects, gaming, and comics. A startup pavilion will allow 136 ventures to present innovations. Separately, the Telangana Innovation Startup Challenge is seeking technology solutions. The state is inviting ideas for agriculture, education, healthcare, and public infrastructure. It also wants tools for protecting government lands.

Invest Telangana Global Summit -2026 Pharma, agriculture and Telangana Pavilion

For the Pharma, Life Sciences Expo, officials are preparing to host 60 companies. Another pavilion will focus on agriculture and allied sectors. It will highlight modern farming methods, agricultural drones, dairy, fisheries, and food processing. A separate Telangana Pavilion will present the state’s history, culture, and handlooms for visiting delegates.

The Telangana Pavilion will also feature the Bathukamma festival and Kakatiya dynasty architecture. It will present current development work and the state’s future roadmap. Reddy also asked officials to give more space to tourism at the summit. The plan is to present key tourist destinations to visiting international delegates. This was shared in the official note.

Invest Telangana Global Summit -2026 Education Expo and Climate Conclave

A dedicated Education Expo is also being planned for the summit. It will focus on education, research, and skill development. Reddy said discussions should represent the full range of Telangana’s education sector. Officials also confirmed a Telangana Climate Conclave on December 8. It will discuss climate change and drought linked to El Niño impacts.

About 200 participants are expected at the conclave. The group includes scientists, farmers, and experts from different fields. Talks will cover drought-resilient agriculture, livestock management, and drinking water security. Other themes include protection from extreme heat and conserving forests and biodiversity. Another focus will be turning waste into wealth.

Reddy asked officials to ensure the climate conclave supports a clear state action plan. The action plan is meant to address drought and climate-related challenges in Telangana. Organisers are continuing work across expos, sessions, and pavilions before the December 7 to 9 programme. Officials said preparations are being tracked through reviews, with a plan deadline of November 15.
