The IPL 2026 playoff race is finally over, and the four teams that will battle for the Indian Premier League trophy have officially been confirmed. After weeks of intense matches, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Gujarat Titans, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals have secured their spots in the IPL 2026 playoffs.

RCB finished at the top of the table and will now head into the playoffs as one of the strongest title contenders this season.

Rajasthan Royals grabbed the fourth and final playoff berth after defeating Mumbai Indians in a major final league-stage clash, knocking Punjab Kings out of the tournament and completing this year's playoff lineup.

IPL 2026 Playoffs Full Schedule

The BCCI has officially announced the full schedule for the IPL 2026 playoffs, with the knockout round to begin on May 26. The top four teams, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Gujarat Titans, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals will now battle for a place in the IPL 2026 Final.

Qualifier 1 will be played between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Gujarat Titans at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala on May 26 at 7:30 PM. The winner of this clash will directly qualify for the IPL 2026 Final, while the losing team will get another opportunity through Qualifier 2.

The Eliminator match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals will take place at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, New Chandigarh on May 27 at 7:30 PM. This will be a knockout match, meaning the losing side will be eliminated from the tournament immediately.

Qualifier 2 is scheduled for May 29 at the same Mullanpur venue and will feature the loser of Qualifier 1 against the winner of the Eliminator.

The grand IPL 2026 Final will then be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 31 at 7:30 PM, where the winners of Qualifier 1 and Qualifier 2 will face off for the championship title.

IPL Final Match Venue Change

One of the biggest talking points this year has been the IPL final venue shift. The IPL 2026 Final was initially expected to be held at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. However, the venue was later shifted to Ahmedabad, which sparked a lot of discussions and criticism among RCB fans, especially considering RCB's strong campaign this season.
