IRCTC Alerts After Fake Bookings Reported
In the light of 2 of the incidences of fraud, IRCTC has alerted its potential customers are may be planning to book an IRCTC tourism tour. In the reported fraud, unauthorized tickets were booked in the name of IRCTC via a website.
As per the details, the IT arm of the catering and e-ticketing of the Indian Railways has been in receipt of two of the complaints of fraud booking. Further, the website involved in the fraud has been identified to be irctctour.com. The shocking part is that tour confirmation voucher in relation to the fraud is exactly the same as that of IRCTC.
Additionally, the other mentioned details include mobile number 9999999999, landline number +91 6371526046 and email id- [email protected].
Nonetheless, the actual website of the company to book railway, air tours as well as other land and cruise packages is www.irctctourism.com.
Post this the cell has already filed an FIR both from the counter as well as online. Also, an alert has been issued on the company's site which says "www.irctctour.com is not an official/ authorised website of IRCTC. IRCTC is not responsible for any transactions done on this website."
