IRFC Dividend: Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd (IRFC) on Monday announced second interim dividend worth Rs 0.80 per equity share of Rs 10 each for the financial year 2024-25.

Navratna PSU IRFC's scrip ended 0.89% higher at Rs 118.75 per share on BSE on Monday. The company stock is recovering after it touched 52-week-low mark of Rs 108.5 per share on BSE on 3 March, 2025. IRFC shares hit 52-week-high mark of Rs 229.05 per share on BSE on 15 July 2024.

The railway PSU earlier announced that its board of directors will consider declaring second interim dividend to company shareholders for financial year 2024-25 in its meeting, held on March 17.

"Pursuant to Regulation 29(1) & 50 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, as amended from time to time and other applicable Regulations, this is to inform that meeting of the Board of Directors of the Company is scheduled to be held on Monday, 17th March 2025, inter-alia, to consider declaration of Second Interim Dividend to the shareholders of the company for the financial year 2024-25," read a stock exchange filing by IRFC.

IRFC dividend record date

IRFC has fixed record date as Friday, March 21, 2025 to determine the eligibility of shareholders for the dividend payout. Only those IRFC shareholders eligible for dividend will receive the payout. Record date is the day on which a company finalises the list of shareholders eligible for its dividend distribution. Only those investors owning IRFC shares on record date, ie March 21, will be eligible for the second interim dividend, if announced today.

Who is eligible for IRFC dividend?

It is mandatory for investors to own IRFC shares before or on dividend record date to be eligible for dividend payout. Eligible shareholders are required to submit their details for TDS on dividend to Registrar before record date.

"Shareholder(s) are kindly requested to update/ submit details for TDS on dividend to Registrar and Transfer Agent of the Company at [email protected] on or before Friday, 21st March 2025. No communication on the tax determination/deduction of tax at lower rates shall be entertained after Friday, 21st March 2025," said the company in its stock filing on Monday.

In case tax on dividend is deducted at a higher rate because of absence of documents or other details, IRFC shareholders can claim the deducted tax at the time of filing of income tax return.

"Further, shareholders will be able to see the credit of TDS in Form 26AS, which can be downloaded from their e-filing account at Income Tax portal," the company added.

Dividend payout date

As per IRFC BSE filing, the dividend will be paid to eligible owners within thirty days from the date of declaration of second interim dividend, ie 31 April, 2025. The railway company had declared an interim dividend of Rs 0.80 per share for its eligible shareholders on October 22, 2024 and the amount was paid a month later on November 12, 2024. IRFC shareholders received a final dividend of Rs 0.7 per sahre on May 21, 2024.
