This on increased outsourcing of deals and clients are fast moving their gears to digital platform. The news on cracking new deals had been imminent from the June results of some of the IT majors. Also, these companies are seen to come out from the crisis fastest.

Earlier there was a threat on whether or not the companies will honour the job offers made during campus placement but as per recent reports employment has even gathered pace.

On the operational front though IT companies have been facing a delay in cracking the deal due to Covid led situation. Also, there can be seen a surge in hiring for contractual jobs as firms might not consider it favourable to make long-term cost commitments.

TCS will hire 40000 officials despite its revenue going down for the just ended June quarter. And the tech giant has already taken on to onboard freshers and is also resuming lateral hiring.

Infosys will hire over 20000 while HCL will also onboard over 15000 new executives. However in the case of midsize companies there has been seen deferment in joining dates.

"There is a lot of pent up demand as companies haven't been hiring over the last three months. They have been winning new deals and are creating bench capacity," Kamal Karanth, co-founder, Xpheno, a specialist staffing firm, told the leading business daily ET.
