Jet Fuel Prices Reduced By 1.3%

The state-owned oil marketing companies have brought down the prices of Aviation Turbine Fuel or ATF today by Rs 1,564/kiloliter. Now the new rates will be Rs 1,21,465 per kiloliter in Delhi.

The state-owned oil marketing companies have brought down the prices of Aviation Turbine Fuel or ATF today by Rs 1,564/kiloliter. Now the new rates will be Rs 1,21,465 per kiloliter in Delhi. Earlier, the prices were Rs 1,23,030 per kiloliter. The reduction in the prices of jet fuel will provide major relief to the airline companies in India. It is worth mentioning that ATF prices reached an all-time high for the last few weeks.

Jet Fuel

The ATF prices differ from one state to another. With today's cut in the prices of ATF, in Delhi it will cost at Rs 1,21,475.74 per kiloliter starting from today. In Mumbai, the prices are Rs 1,20,306.99 per kiloliter. The new rates will become effective starting today (June 1, 2022). In Kolkata, prices of ATF will now be Rs 1,26, 369.98 per kiloliter while in Chennai the new rates are fixed at 1,25,725.36 per kilolitre.

Earlier in April 2022, the prices of ATF were hiked by 2% to Es 1,12,924 per kiloliter. Later, the prices registered yet another hike in May when the jet fuel prices rose by 3.2% followed by another rise on May 16. Later in May, the prices received another hike of 5.3%, the 10th straight hike in 2022 to keep in line with a rise in global energy prices.
