JioHotstar and Warner Bros Discovery have expanded their partnership, making JioHotstar the exclusive home for HBO Max in India. The agreement brings HBO, Max Originals, Warner Bros. Pictures, Warner Bros. Television and DC Studios content into one service. JioStar CEO Kevin Vaz said the move aims to improve access to premium global storytelling nationwide.
JioHotstar and Warner Bros Discovery announced a wider partnership on Wednesday. The agreement makes JioHotstar the exclusive home for HBO Max in India. The move brings HBO Max content under one service for Indian viewers. It also adds more global titles to JioHotstar’s streaming library.

The expanded deal gives audiences access to content from HBO, Max Originals, and DC Studios. It also includes films from Warner Bros Pictures and shows from Warner Bros Television. The companies said this is the first time the full range of HBO Max programming is available in India through one platform.

JioHotstar is exclusive for HBO Max in the India market, which offers global channels, including HBO, Max Originals, Warner Bros. Pictures, Warner Bros. Television, and DC Studios. The partnership aims to present these brands through a single viewing experience. The companies described the service as one place for premium global storytelling.
JioStar CEO Kevin Vaz linked the deal to changes in how premium content reaches India. "This marks a defining moment in how premium global content is accessed and experienced in India.\" Kevin Vaz added, \"By bringing HBO Max to JioHotstar, we are creating a unified destination for premium international content and raising the bar for quality content once again.\"

Kevin Vaz also said, \"We are combining scale, curation, quality and ease of access. This unlocks a deeper and more immersive entertainment experience for audiences nationwide,\" he said. Warner Bros Discovery also framed the tie-up as a continuation of an earlier relationship in the region.
James Gibbons, President of APAC, Warner Bros Discovery, said, \"The launch of HBO Max exclusively with JioHotstar marks the next chapter in our long-standing collaboration, enabling us to broaden the reach of our premium brands and franchises, and build deeper connections with fans across the country.\"
HBO Max on JioHotstar in India: Key series and films coming
Under the renewed partnership, JioHotstar subscribers can watch Warner Bros Television series Friends and The Big Bang Theory. The companies said these shows will stream for the first time on the service. Viewers can also access The Vampire Diaries, Supernatural, and The Flash as part of the package.
The deal also extends to major film franchises available through the platform. Film fans can catch the Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings collections. It also includes blockbuster titles from the DC Universe. The companies said these additions sit alongside other HBO Max programming now hosted on JioHotstar.
