JSW Steel Q1 Result: Net Profit More Than Doubles to Rs 4,696 Crore, Revenue Rises 10%
JSW Steel Q1 Result Highlights: JSW Steel Limited reported a strong jump in profit and revenue in the first quarter of financial year 2026-27. The steelmaker's net consolidated profit (after tax) more than doubled to Rs 4696 crore in Q1FY27. The company reported a 10% surge in its net revenue from operations to Rs 47,364 crore.
JSW Steel share price closed 1.43% higher at Rs 1238.45 per share on BSE with a market capitalisation of Rs 3,02,832.79 crore on Friday. The stock had touched an intraday high mark of Rs 1,242.90 per share and an intraday low mark of Rs 1,217.70 per share.

JSW Steel Share Q1 Result Highlight: PAT, Revenue
The company reported net profit after tax at Rs 4,696 crores in Q1FY27, whereas net debt to equity ratio stood at 0.42x and net debt to EBITDA stood at 1.46x. Its consolidated revenue from operations stood at Rs 47,364 crores and adjusted EBITDA stood at Rs 9,373 crores, with an EBITDA margin of 19.8% during the quarter under review.
Company's EBITDA was increased by 8% on a sequential basis. The surge was driven by higher sales realisation, and partly offset by coking coal prices and other input costs. The company's reported EBITDA stood at Rs 9,383 crores during the quarter.
JSW Steel Q1 Result Highlight: Steel Production
JSW Steel's consolidated production for the quarter stood at 6.59 million tonnes, which was 3% higher than production reported in the previous quarter of financial year 2026-27. The volumes surged by 15% on an annual basis excluding BF-3 which was under shutdown in Q1FY276 for upgradation. Steel sales for the quarter were best ever for Ql at 6.25 million tonnes, up 4% YoY. JSW Steel also saw its best ever sales of steel to institutional, auto, renewable, and appliances sectors in Q1FY27.
JSW Steel Subsidiaries Performance in Q1FY27
JSW Steel's JVML reported crude steel production of 1.12 million tonnes. Its revenue from operations and adjusted EBITDA for Q1FY27 stood at Rs 7,032 crore and Rs 1,821 crores. The adjusted EBITA for the subsidiary increased by 138% on an annual basis. The JSW Steel Coated Products reported a Rs 9,991 crore of revenue from operations and adjusted EBITDA at Rs 698 crore.
For the company's USA-based subsidiaries, the Vacuum Tank Degasser project was commissioned in QI at the Ohio, USA operations. This would speed up the production of higher grade steel, especially API grades. Production stood at 2,66,418 net tonnes of Slabs during the quarter.
The Plate & Pipe Mill based in Texas, USA produced 1,47,827 net tonnes of Plates and 18,575 net tonnes of Pipes.
