Residents in low-lying areas of Bengaluru have been asked to stay cautious, while BBMP and civic authorities are currently on high alert to tackle tree falls, Bengaluru power outages, and road blockages due to the continuous downpour.
Advisory for Residents
District administrations in Dakshin Kannada, Udupi, and Uttara Kannada have been put on high alert. Civic agencies in Bengaluru and BBMP are also working to clear waterlogging, flooding, traffic jams, and tree fall incidents, as Bengaluru's heavy rain may disrupt normal life. With red and orange alerts across Karnataka, the next few days will be crucial as heavy monsoon showers continue to batter the state.
In that situation, it is advised to avoid venturing into waterlogged or low-lying areas. Bengaluru residents should plan travel carefully due to likely traffic snarls and flooding.
