Karnataka Shivers as Cold Wave Tightens Grip; Bidar Freezes at 6°C, and Bengaluru Weather Turns Colder

As the year ends, Karnataka is experiencing a sharp winter chill, with several districts recording single-digit minimum temperatures, leading to cold wave-like conditions across the state. While north interior Karnataka remains the coldest, Bengaluru weather today is also noticeably cooler than usual, offering residents a pleasant but slightly humid start to the day.

Karnataka Minimum Temperatures Today: Cold Wave Across Districts

Several parts of Karnataka witnessed a significant drop in night temperatures, especially in north interior districts. Bidar recorded the lowest minimum temperature at 6.1°C, making it the coldest district in the state. Other regions such as Dharwad (7.6°C), Belagavi (8.3°C), Bagalkote (8.8°C), and Koppala (9.3°C) also experienced intense cold conditions. Districts including Vijayapura, Vijayanagara, Gadag, Haveri, Kodagu and Kolar saw minimum temperatures hovering around 9-10°C due to the impact of the cold spell.

Bengaluru Weather Today

Bengaluru weather today remained cool and comfortable, with the city recording an early-morning temperature of around 17 degrees Celsius. The sky stayed partly sunny with light haze, and cloud cover was close to 50 per cent. High humidity levels of nearly 89 per cent made shaded areas feel slightly damp, particularly during the morning hours, though overall conditions remained pleasant.

Bengaluru Weather Forecast

Weather conditions in Bengaluru are expected to remain stable over the next couple of days. Sunday will see hazy sunshine through the day, with temperatures turning mildly warm by afternoon. Monday and Tuesday are likely to remain mostly sunny with some high clouds, offering comfortable daytime conditions. From Wednesday to Friday, temperatures are expected to gradually rise, with very warm weather likely by Thursday.

For residents living in Hosur and the Bengaluru border areas, weather conditions will remain largely similar to the city. Minor variations in temperature and cloud cover may be observed, but no major change in overall weather patterns is expected over the next few days.
