Karnataka weather continued to be cold and foggy this morning across several districts on January 11, with minimum temperatures dropping 2 to 3 degrees Celsius below normal in both the North and South Interior parts of the state, according to data released by the Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC).

District-Wise Minimum Temperature in Karnataka
As per KSNDMC observations recorded between 8:30 am on January 10 and 8:00 am on January 11, Bidar is still the coldest district in Karnataka, recording a minimum temperature of 7.4°C. This was followed by Vijayapura (10.2°C), Belagavi (11°C) and Kalaburagi (11°C).
Other districts reported similarly low temperatures, with Uttara Kannada at 11.6°C, Dharwad at 12.1°C, Bagalkote at 12.7°C, Vijayanagara and Yadgir at 13.3°C, and Chikkaballapura at 13.9°C.
In the Bengaluru region, Bengaluru Rural recorded 15.1°C, while Bengaluru Urban saw a minimum temperature of 15.8°C. Coastal Karnataka remained warmer, with Udupi at 19.7°C and Dakshina Kannada at 20.7°C.
Rainfall Recorded Across Karnataka
KSNDMC data shows light to moderate rainfall at multiple locations across the state. Rainfall readings recorded between 8:30 am on January 10 and 8:30 am on January 11 indicate that Tumakuru (Gubbi Edagur) and Hassan (Belur Kodihalli) received the highest rainfall of 7 mm.
Several areas in Tumakuru, Mandya, Ramanagara, Ballari, Mysuru, Chikkaballapura, and Chamarajanagara districts recorded rainfall ranging between 2.5 mm and 6.6 mm, with scattered showers across interior Karnataka.
The Karnataka weather forecast as per IMD says that dry weather conditions will be observed across most parts of Karnataka and scattered showers are likely to continue till January 12.
Residents, especially in the North Interior, South Interior, and Malnad regions, have been advised to take precautions against cold conditions, particularly during early morning and night hours.
Bengaluru Weather Today
Bengaluru weather conditions today are mild, with mostly cloudy skies prevailing across the city. Current weather conditions show temperatures hovering around 17°C, accompanied by high humidity levels of about 94% and light northerly winds.
As per the IMD data, cloud cover is nearly 88%, with visibility reduced to around 5 miles. While no rainfall has been recorded so far, light rain or drizzle is possible during the afternoon hours.
The Bengaluru short-term weather forecast shows that on Monday residents can expect Low clouds gradually clearing to allow some sunshine. Tuesday and Wednesday are expected to remain hazy with sunshine through the day.
