Karnataka Weather Alert: Thunderstorm Warning Today, Check 7-Day Rain Forecast For Coastal & Interior District

Karnataka weather is expected to be rainy and somewhat cloudy over the next seven days, according to the latest India Meteorological Department forecast.

While several coastal and Malnad districts could receive light to moderate rainfall along with gusty winds. While the interior parts of the state are likely to be relatively hot, with some cloudy skies and isolated chances of light rain.

The latest Karnataka weather update by IMD has issued a thunderstorm, lightning and strong surface winds warning for August 16.
The warning covers Coastal Karnataka, North Interior Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka. However, no specific weather warning has been indicated for August 17 to August 22.

Karnataka Weather Today: Thunderstorm And Strong Wind Warning

Karnataka residents should remain alert to changing weather conditions today, particularly in areas covered by the warning.
According to the forecast, Coastal and Malnad districts may experience light to moderate rain at a few places.The rainfall could be seen by strong winds and thunderstorms which can lead to difficult travel conditions in some areas.

The weather forecast also indicates the possibility of lightning and strong surface winds. Residents are advised to exercise caution during thunderstorms and avoid unnecessary exposure in open areas when lightning activity is observed.

In the interior districts, the weather is expected to be comparatively warmer. These areas may experience hot and partly cloudy conditions, although isolated places could receive light rainfall.

As per IMD, the weather pattern is also expected to be variable, with cloudy conditions developing in some areas even when widespread rainfall is not expected.

North & South Interior Karnataka Weather

For North Interior Karnataka, the latest forecast shows a thunderstorm, lightning and strong surface winds warning for August 16.

South Interior Karnataka has also been placed under the thunderstorm, lightning and strong surface winds warning for August 16.

Those in areas experiencing thunderstorms should avoid standing under isolated trees or near exposed structures and should take appropriate precautions during lightning and strong winds.
