According to the latest Karnataka weather update, heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka, while Bengaluru weather is expected to remain cloudy with light rain, thunderstorms and strong surface winds.

The latest IMD weather forecast for Karnataka also shows that rainfall activity is likely to intensify over the coming days, with heavy rain expected at isolated places from June 30 onwards. The Karnataka rain forecast will be active till July 3, with thunderstorms and lightning expected across most regions of the state.

Karnataka Rain Forecast Till July 3

According to the IMD's seven-day forecast, Coastal Karnataka is likely to receive heavy rainfall today, followed by heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning and squally winds on June 28 and June 29. Similar weather conditions are expected to continue until July 3, with heavy rainfall persisting across the coastal belt.

For North Interior Karnataka, the weather department has predicted thunderstorms, lightning, squally winds and strong surface winds today and over the weekend. Heavy rainfall is likely from June 30, while gusty winds are expected to continue across several districts.
Meanwhile, South Interior Karnataka, including Bengaluru, is likely to experience light to moderate rain, thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds today and tomorrow. From June 30, isolated heavy rainfall is expected in parts of the region.

The Bengaluru weather forecast shows cloudy skies with light to moderate rain, thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds during the day. Residents can expect pleasant temperatures but should be prepared for sudden rainfall, waterlogging in low-lying areas and slower traffic during peak hours.

Districts That Received the Highest Rainfall

According to the KSNDMC rainfall report, Uttara Kannada recorded the highest rainfall in the last 24 hours. Jalavalli in Honnavar received 70.5 mm of rain,Among other districts, Pudevettu in Belthangady (Dakshina Kannada) recorded 55.5 mm, while Kumbashi in Kundapura received 46 mm. Chadachan in Vijayapura registered 72.2 mm, the highest rainfall outside the coastal belt.

The IMD has advised residents living in Coastal Karnataka, North Interior Karnataka, and South Interior Karnataka to stay alert for thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds. People travelling during rain must monitor the latest weather update, avoid waterlogged roads where possible and stay cautious in areas prone to flooding.
