Karnataka Weather: IMD Issues Heavy Rain Alert For Coastal, South Interior Districts Today; 7-Day Forecast
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rain warning for Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka on October 10th and said that the area is expected to see rainfall along with strong winds, thunder and lightning.
Meanwhile, North Interior Karnataka is expected to be largelymainly dry, with no warning issued for the region.
According to the IMD's seven-day weather forecast, rainfall activity is expected to vary across Karnataka, with coastal and southern districts likely to experience wet conditions while several parts of the interior may see sunny or partly cloudy weather.

The latest Karnataka weather forecast also indicates that fog is likely to cover many parts of the state during the morning hours. Maximum temperatures are expected to remain above normal in most parts of the interior regions.
Karnataka Rain Alert Today: Which Regions Are Likely To Receive Rain?
The IMD's subdivision-wise weather warning for October 10 indicates that Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka are under a heavy rain warning. Residents in these regions should stay alert to changing weather conditions, particularly during thunderstorms and periods of strong winds.
North Interior Karnataka, on the other hand, has no warning for October 10. The IMD expects dry weather to continue across most parts of the region.

Fog Likely In Many Parts Of Karnataka During Morning Hours
Apart from rainfall, the IMD has forecast fog in many parts of Karnataka during the morning hours. Reduced visibility could affect commuters, particularly those travelling early in the day.
Motorists should drive carefully in foggy conditions, maintain a safe distance from other vehicles and use appropriate lighting when visibility is poor.
The seven-day forecast indicates no further subdivision-level warnings from October 11 to October 16.
