Karnataka Weather Today: Rain Likely In Coastal, Malnad Areas; Thunderstorm Alert In Interior Districts

Karnataka weather is going to be slightly rainy with cloudy skies and sunny conditions over the next seven days, according to the latest weather forecast issued by the IMD.

The latest district-wise forecast, issued on September 5, indicates that Coastal Karnataka and Malnad districts are likely to receive light to moderate rain with scattered gusty winds, while interior Karnataka may experience a combination of sunny and partly cloudy conditions with isolated rainfall.

Thunderstorm Warning For Interior Karnataka

The IMD's subdivision-wise warning shows thunderstorms, lightning, squall and strong surface winds for both North Interior Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka on September 5 and September 6.

Coastal Karnataka Weather Forecast

According to the district-wise forecast, Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada are likely to receive light to moderate rainfall during the forecast period.

The rainfall probability is very likely across the three coastal districts, with the forecast extending through September 11.
KSNDMC also said that scattered light to moderate rain accompanied by gusty winds is likely over coastal and Malnad districts during the next seven days.

North Interior Karnataka Weather Forecast

North Interior Karnataka is expected to see more variable weather conditions.Bagalkote, Bidar, Gadag and Haveri are forecast to receive light rain initially, mainly during September 5 and 6. Belagavi and Dharwad may continue to see light rainfall beyond September 6, according to the district-wise forecast. The region is also under a thunderstorm, lightning and strong surface wind warning for September 5 and 6.

South Interior Karnataka Weather

South Interior Karnataka is also under a thunderstorm, lightning, squall and strong surface wind warning on September 5 and 6. The IMD forecast shows no warning for the region from September 7 to September 11.

Karnataka Rain Forecast Ahead

Overall, the latest Karnataka weather forecast points to continued rainfall activity along the coast and Malnad, while interior districts are expected to see more scattered and intermittent showers.
